Questions & Answers

Questions from League of Women Voters of California (3)

What financing method(s) would you support to repair or improve roads, rails, ports, airports, the electrical grid, and other infrastructure in the U.S.?
Answer from Ryan Blevins:

I am creating a plan that would transform our energy infrastructure to replace highly polluting coal power; with clean, safe and efficient advanced molten salt nuclear reactors.

I am considering funding it through a temporary and small electricity tax.

I also support increasing the funding for water infrastructure; but I haven't decided on a funding method yet.

What programs or legislation, if any, would you support to help Americans of all ages to secure affordable health care?
Answer from Ryan Blevins:

I would happily vote on Bernie Sander's Medicare for All plan. His plan is estimated to save Americans a minimum of 40 billion dollars a year!

Describe an immigration policy that you would support if presented to the House of Representatives.
Answer from Ryan Blevins:

I would increase legal immigration by amending our immigration laws. Currently there are restrictions that create a racial imbalance, I will fight to create an immigration system that is not biased against people's origins.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Every industrial robot built replaces 1.6 jobs, by 2030; 73 million jobs will likely be eliminated. I am running for Congress because I would like to prevent a recession not react to one.
