Fixing broken economies are what my international work was all about. I spent years repairing economies suffering communism, socialism, conflict and instability across Eruope, Asia and the Middle East. I witnessed first-hand how bad government policies crush initiative and destroy the human spirit. I also saw how creating an enabling environment of economic and cultural freedom empowers people to prosper and realize their dreams. Yet, today, here at home, I see the most basic principles that so many countries seek to emulate are now at risk. I will work to rebuild those principles to promote broad and inclusive economic prosperity, to lift people up, to help them achieve their full potential and live their best lives.
